Windlass is the most common method to tension cord strapping. Strapping is wound around a windlass shaft to reach higher levels of tension. Windlass tensioners also have a cutter to cut the strap once sealed or buckled at desired tensioned levels.
Tool Grades Economy include tools are designed for light to moderate use. These strapping tools are an inexpensive option, but are not repairable. Premium strapping tools are designed to perform in the toughest applications, these tools are ideal for the high end manual application.
